Leukoplast Elastic adhesive bandages

Leukoplast is a world-renowned brand in the medical supplies industry, specifically famous for inventing the first adhesive zinc oxide plaster over a century ago. The brand was originally developed in Germany by the company Beiersdorf AG, the same entity behind iconic brands like Nivea. For decades, it has been a staple in both hospitals and domestic first-aid kits due to its high-quality medical-grade adhesives and fabrics.

Ownership of the Leukoplast brand has transitioned over the years. In 2001, a joint venture between Beiersdorf and Smith & Nephew resulted in the creation of BSN medical. Eventually, BSN medical was acquired by the Swedish hygiene and health company Essity in 2017. Today, Essity continues to own and manage the brand globally. Manufacturing of Leukoplast products is distributed across several global locations to meet international demand, primarily utilizing facilities equipped for specialized medical textile and adhesive production.
