Eterna Watches

Eterna is a prestigious Swiss luxury watch manufacturer with a history dating back to 1856. Founded by Josef Girard and Urs Schild in Grenchen, Switzerland, the company became renowned for its precision craftsmanship and horological innovations, most notably the development of the ball-bearing mounted rotor for automatic movements, which became the emblem of the brand. Eterna is also famous for spinning off ETA SA, which grew into one of the world's largest producers of watch movements.

Today, while Eterna maintains its manufacturing roots in Switzerland to uphold the 'Swiss Made' standards, its ownership has transitioned to international stakeholders. In 2012, the brand was acquired by Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited, a prominent investment holding company based in Hong Kong. This ownership allows Eterna to leverage global distribution networks while preserving its heritage as a classic Swiss watchmaker.
