Berliner Pilsner is one of the most iconic beers from the German capital. Originally launched in 1963 in the former East Berlin, it was developed by the VEB Berliner-Kindl-Schultheiss-Brauerei. The brand is famous for its logo featuring a red bear (the symbol of Berlin) balancing three beer glasses on a tray, an image that has become synonymous with the city's brewing heritage.

Today, the beer is produced at the Berliner-Kindl-Schultheiss-Brauerei in Berlin-Alt-Hohenschönhausen. Since 2004, the brand has been part of the Radeberger Group, which is the largest private brewery group in Germany. The Radeberger Group is themselves a subsidiary of the Oetker Group (Dr. August Oetker KG), a massive family-owned conglomerate headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany, ensuring that while the brand has deep local roots, it is backed by international logistical expertise.
