Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced on the Isle of Jura, a remote island off the west coast of Scotland. The distillery was originally established in 1810 by Archibald Campbell, but it fell into disrepair and was eventually dismantled. In the early 1960s, local landowners Robin Fletcher and Tony Riley-Smith rebuilt the distillery to rejuvenate the island's economy and community.
Today, Jura is a global brand known for its accessible and varied taste profiles, ranging from sweet and smooth to rich and smoky. The American Bourbon Cask Edition highlights the brand's maturation process in ex-bourbon barrels, which imparts notes of vanilla and caramel. The brand is currently owned by Whyte & Mackay, which is a subsidiary of the Philippine-based multinational corporation, Alliance Global Group.
