Decathlon Creation represents the private label apparel line of Decathlon, the world's largest sporting goods retailer. Founded in 1976 by Michel Leclercq in Lille, France, the brand began with a visionary approach to make sports accessible to everyone through high-quality, affordable equipment and clothing.

While the brand's heart and design center (the Decathlon Reveal Innovation center) remain in France, its manufacturing footprint is global. As evidenced by the label, a significant portion of their textile and apparel production is outsourced to India, among other major manufacturing hubs like Vietnam, China, and Bangladesh, to maintain price efficiency and scale.

Decathlon remains a family-owned enterprise, controlled primarily by the Mulliez family (Association Familiale Mulliez), who also own other major French retail chains like Auchan. This ownership structure has allowed the company to focus on long-term growth and technical innovation within their 'Passion Brands' ecosystem.
