Winston is a globally recognized brand of cigarettes that was introduced in 1954 by the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in the United States. Named after Winston-Salem, North Carolina—the city where the company was headquartered—the brand became one of the most popular cigarette brands in the world, known for its "Winston tastes good like a cigarette should" marketing campaign.

Ownership of the brand is currently split between two major entities. In the United States, the brand is owned and manufactured by ITG Brands, a subsidiary of the British multinational Imperial Brands. Internationally, however, the brand was acquired by Japan Tobacco (JT) in 1999 as part of their purchase of R.J. Reynolds' international operations. Today, Japan Tobacco International (JTI), headquartered in Switzerland, manages the production and distribution of Winston cigarettes in global markets, including the Middle East, as indicated by the Arabic health warnings visible on the packaging.

Manufacturing occurs in various regional facilities across Europe, Asia, and Africa to serve local demand. Because it is a regulated tobacco product, the packaging includes prominent health warnings and local contact information for smoking cessation programs, as required by the laws of the country where it is sold.
