Gille Drömmar cookies

Gille is a classic Swedish cookie brand that has been a staple in Fika culture for decades. The brand was founded in the 1960s in Åsljunga, Skåne, where many of its products are still produced today. Gille is particularly famous for its traditional Swedish oat cookies and Drömmar (dreams), which are light, crispy biscuits.

Today, Gille is owned by Continental Bakeries, which is an international group specializing in biscuits, bread replacements, and toast. In 2022, Continental Bakeries was acquired by the Biscuit International group, making the ultimate parent company a leading European private label biscuit manufacturer headquartered in France. Despite its international ownership, Gille maintains its strong Swedish identity and continues to bake its products in Sweden, emphasizing local heritage and traditional recipes.
