The Peugeot 208 is a popular B-segment supermini originally launched by the French automaker Peugeot in 2012. As a successor to the 207, it has become one of the most successful models in the brand's history.
Manufacturing for the 208 takes place in multiple locations across Europe and North Africa, primarily in Trnava, Slovakia, and Kenitra, Morocco. Historically, production also occurred in France. Today, the brand is part of Stellantis N.V., a global automotive giant formed in 2021 through the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the PSA Group. While the brand remains quintessentially French in identity and design, its corporate headquarters and ownership are now integrated into a multinational structure based in the Netherlands.
