Marni is a prestigious Italian luxury fashion house recognized for its avant-garde aesthetic, innovative prints, and sophisticated color palettes. Founded in 1994 by Consuelo Castiglioni, the brand originally emerged from the Girombelli family's fur business and quickly established itself as a standalone icon of intellectual luxury. The brand's commitment to craftsmanship is reflected in its manufacturing process, with the vast majority of its high-end garments and leather goods being produced in Italy, though some specialized pieces may be sourced globally.
In 2012, Marni was acquired by the Italian conglomerate OTB Group (Only The Brave), led by Renzo Rosso. This transition marked a new era for the brand, expanding its global footprint while maintaining its artisanal roots. Today, Marni operates as a key subsidiary of OTB, which also owns other major fashion entities like Diesel and Maison Margiela. Under the creative direction of Francesco Risso, the brand continues to be a staple of Milan Fashion Week, headquartered in the fashion capital of Milan.
