Created in 1796 by the Get brothers (Jean and Pierre), it was initially known as Pippermint GET before being renamed to reflect its brand identity. The product is famous for its distinct green color and its bulbous, lamp-like green bottle design.

Today, the production of this iconic beverage remains rooted in France, primarily produced at the Bacardi-Martini production site in Beaucaire, Gard. This ensures that the traditional peppermint-infused recipe maintains its heritage and quality. The brand is a staple in French culture, often consumed as a digestif or in cocktails.

Since 1995, Get 27 has been part of the Bacardi Limited portfolio.
