Chateau Kefraya Red Wine

Chateau Kefraya is a prominent Lebanese winery located in the West Bekaa Valley. The estate was founded by Michel de Bustros in 1951, with the first vines planted over several subsequent years. The winery officially began bottling its own production in 1979 during the Lebanese Civil War, quickly establishing itself as a mark of quality in Middle Eastern viticulture.

The wine is produced entirely from grapes grown on the estate's 300 hectares of vineyards, which sit at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. The unique terroir consisting of clay-limestone and stony soils contributes to the distinct character of their red blends, which often feature Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.

Ownership remains within the founding lineage and private Lebanese interests. The estate is a family-owned operation that prides itself on independent production, from viticulture to bottling, ensuring that the legacy of Lebanese winemaking is preserved and promoted globally.
