Stiegl Beer

Stiegl is one of Austria's most iconic and prestigious private breweries, headquartered in Salzburg. Founded in 1492, the year Columbus reached the Americas, the brewery takes its name from a small staircase ('Stiegl' in German) that led to the original production site.

Unlike many global beer brands that have been acquired by multinational conglomerates, Stiegl remains a family-owned independent brewery. It is currently owned by the Kiener family, who have maintained a commitment to traditional brewing methods using locally sourced ingredients from their own estate, Wildshut. The brand is globally recognized for its flagship Stiegl-Goldbräu and its range of Radlers, symbolizing Austrian brewing excellence and independent heritage.
