HAL Trust investment portfolio

HAL Trust is a major international investment holding company with a rich history dating back to the late 19th century. Originally founded as the Nederlandsch-Amerikaansche Stoomvaart Maatschappij (NASM), it became famous globally as the Holland America Line, a premier shipping and passenger line. In 1989, the company sold its transport activities to Carnival Corporation and transitioned into its current form as an investment firm.

Today, HAL Trust manages a diverse portfolio of long-term investments across various sectors, including retail, international shipping, and manufacturing. The ultimate ownership remains concentrated within the Van der Vorm family through the trust structure, making it one of the most prominent investment entities in Europe.
