Pacsafe is a pioneering travel brand founded in 1998 by two Australian travelers, Rob Schlipper and Magnus McGlashan, who were inspired by their own experiences with security risks while globetrotting. The brand became famous for its patented eXomesh technology—a stainless steel wire mesh designed to prevent bag slashing—and quickly expanded its range to include various anti-theft features like RFID-blocking pockets and interlocking zip systems.

Today, the brand is owned by Outpac Designs Limited, based in Hong Kong. While the creative and strategic direction originated in Australia, the manufacturing is primarily conducted in specialized facilities in China and Vietnam to maintain high technical standards for their proprietary security hardware. The brand remains a dominant global leader in the anti-theft travel niche, catering to security-conscious travelers worldwide.
