Snow Peak is a premium outdoor-lifestyle brand headquartered in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 1958 by Yukio Yamai, the brand initially gained fame for its high-quality mountaineering equipment and later expanded into apparel and footwear. Its footwear line often blends technical outdoor performance with minimalist aesthetics suitable for urban environments.

While the design and brand identity remain rooted in Japanese craftsmanship and heritage, manufacturing occurs across several locations. Most apparel and technical footwear are produced in Japan to maintain strict quality standards, but some components and lines are also manufactured in partner facilities in Vietnam and China. As of 2024 and looking toward 2026, the company remains publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with the founding Yamai family maintaining a significant leadership presence through Snow Peak Inc.
