Gorenje Electric Cooker

Gorenje is a major European appliance manufacturer with deep roots in Slovenia. Originally established in the village of Gorenje in 1950, the company initially focused on agricultural machinery before transitioning into localized appliance production. Over the decades, it became one of the largest manufacturers of household goods in the former Yugoslavia and across Central Europe.

In 2018, the brand underwent a significant ownership shift when it was acquired by Hisense, a major multinational electronics manufacturer based in China. Since then, Gorenje has operated as a key subsidiary of the Hisense Group, specifically within its Hisense Europe division. Today, while the brand's creative and industrial heritage remains firmly Czech and Slovenian, its strategic direction and financial backing are provided by its Chinese parent company. Manufacturing remains concentrated in Slovenia, Serbia, and the Czech Republic to serve the European market efficiently.
