Seagram's Extra Dry Gin is a world-renowned spirit with a heritage dating back to 1857. It was originally established by the Seagram family in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. However, the American version of the brand became highly prominent following the end of Prohibition in the United States, with a major distillery established in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, which is clearly visible on the product label.
Today, the Seagram's Gin brand is part of the global portfolio of Pernod Ricard. While the Seagram company itself was once a massive conglomerate, its beverage assets were broken up and sold in the early 2000s. Pernod Ricard, headquartered in France, acquired the brand and continues to manage its international distribution and production, maintaining the traditional 'Extra Dry' profile that has made it a staple in the gin category for over a century.
