Otriven 0.1% Nasentropfen

Otriven is a well-known brand of nasal decongestants primarily marketed in Germany. It was originally developed by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Ciba-Geigy (which later became part of Novartis). The brand is internationally recognized under the name Otrivin.

Following a series of joint ventures and corporate spin-offs between Novartis and GSK, the brand now belongs to Haleon, a global leader in consumer health. Haleon was established as an independent company in 2022, specializing in over-the-counter medicines and wellness products.

Manufacturing for Otriven takes place in various pharmaceutical production sites across Europe, notably in Switzerland and Germany. The product contains xylometazoline, an active ingredient used to relieve nasal congestion caused by colds or allergies.
