Volcom clothing

Volcom was founded in 1991 by Richard Woolcott and Tucker Hall in Orange County, California, as a brand dedicated to boarding sports such as skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding. Known for its 'Stone' logo, it became a global symbol for the alternative action sports lifestyle.

The brand's ownership has changed over the years. It was acquired by the French luxury group Kering in 2011. However, in 2019, Kering sold Volcom to Authentic Brands Group (ABG), a brand management company based in the United States. Today, Volcom's manufacturing is decentralized, with production occurring in various countries across Asia and South America to support its global retail presence.
