L'OR Espresso was founded in France in 1992 with the ambition to bring the best coffee in the world to connoisseurs. It expanded globally in 2010 by launching capsules compatible with Nespresso® machines. The brand is known for its high-quality standards and elegant presentation.

Today, L'OR is a flagship brand of JDE Peet's, a global coffee and tea powerhouse. While the coffee beans themselves are sourced from various regions—in this case, Huehuetenango, Guatemala—the primary manufacturing and encapsulation processes for the European and South American markets typically take place in France. JDE Peet's was formed after the merger of JAB Holding Company's Peet's Coffee and the coffee business of Mondelez International.
