Sunseeker International is a prestigious British manufacturer of luxury motor yachts, recognized globally for its high-performance vessels and distinctive design. Founded in 1969 by brothers Robert and John Braithwaite in Poole, Dorset, the brand originally operated as Poole Power Boats before evolving into the global icon known today. Its manufacturing remains deeply rooted in England, with its primary shipyards and state-of-the-art Design and Technology Centre located in and around Poole Harbour.
The brand's ownership history has seen significant shifts over the last decade. After being owned by the Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group from 2013 to late 2024, the company was acquired by a consortium led by Lionheart Capital and Orienta Capital Partners. Most recently, in March 2026, the brand entered a new era of ownership under a consortium led by KCP Holdings (a New York-headquartered private investment firm) in partnership with Lionheart Capital. This latest acquisition aims to provide long-term financial stability and a strategic focus on next-generation product development and the expansion of its superyacht division.
