Hamé Májka pork pâté

Májka is one of the most iconic and popular brands of canned meat spreads and pâtés in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Originally created by the company Hamé, which traces its roots back to the 1920s in the town of Babice, Májka has become synonymous with a quick snack or travel staple in Central Europe. The product is primarily manufactured in the Czech Republic, specifically in facilities operated by Hamé (now part of Orkla Foods).

In 2016, the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA acquired Hamé as part of its strategic expansion into Central and Eastern Europe. Following the acquisition, Hamé was merged with Vitana (another prominent Czech food company owned by Orkla) in 2018 to form Orkla Foods Česko a Slovensko. Today, the brand remains a flagship product under this subsidiary, benefitng from Orkla's extensive distribution network while maintaining its traditional recipe and local identity.
