Harvey Fresh is a well-known Western Australian brand that originated in the town of Harvey in 1986. Originally established by the Sorgiovanni family, who had been farming in the region since the late 1920s, the company grew into one of Western Australia's largest dairy and juice processors. The rich soils and pristine environment of the Harvey region are central to the brand's identity, with fresh milk collected daily from local farms.

In 2014, Harvey Fresh was acquired by the Italian dairy group Parmalat. This acquisition was part of a larger global consolidation in the dairy industry, as Parmalat itself was a subsidiary of the French multinational Lactalis Group. Following a corporate rebranding in 2019, Parmalat Australia officially changed its name to Lactalis Australia.

Today, Harvey Fresh remains a staple in Australian households, particularly in Western Australia where its production facilities continue to operate. While the brand is locally produced using Australian milk, its ultimate ownership rests with the Besnier family through the Lactalis Group, headquartered in France.
