MACK Rides is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious manufacturers of amusement park attractions, with a history dating back to 1780. Founded by Paul Mack in Waldkirch, Germany, the company initially specialized in building wooden carriages and stagecoaches. It transitioned into the amusement industry in the late 19th century by constructing organ wagons and caravans for traveling showmen, eventually building its first wooden roller coaster in 1921.
Today, the company is a global leader in ride engineering, known for high-tech roller coasters, water rides, and innovative dark rides. A unique aspect of the brand is its relationship with Europa-Park, which was founded by the Mack family in 1975 to serve as a living showroom for their ride systems. This allows the company to test and refine its products in a real-world operating environment before selling them to other parks globally.
MACK Rides remains a family-owned enterprise, currently managed by the seventh and eighth generations of the Mack family. All major design and production activities continue to take place at their primary facilities in Waldkirch and Herbolzheim, Germany, maintaining a 'Made in Germany' standard of precision and reliability.
