Violife is a leading global brand of 100% vegan cheese alternatives, specifically formulated to mimic the taste and melting properties of traditional dairy cheese. The 'Epic Mature' line is designed to provide a more robust, crumbly texture and sharp flavor profile similar to aged cheddar, utilizing a base of water, coconut oil, and starches.

The brand's history began in the 1990s in Thessaloniki, Greece, under the company Arivia S.A. (originally established as a producer of dairy-analogue products). It was famously inspired by the dietary requirements of the Greek Orthodox Church's fasting periods, where animal products are restricted. Over the decades, it expanded from a local Greek staple to an international success, launching in the UK in 2013 and the US in 2017.

Today, Violife is manufactured at its dedicated production plant in Drama, Greece. In 2019, the brand was acquired by Upfield (now known as Flora Food Group), a global plant-based food company based in the Netherlands. Flora Food Group is itself owned by the American private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). As of 2026, Flora Food Group remains the brand's operator, continuing to distribute Violife's extensive range of blocks, slices, and grated alternatives across more than 50 countries.
