Missègle is a renowned French artisanal brand specializing in high-quality textiles made from natural fibers. Founded in 1983 by Myriam Joly in Burlats, in the Tarn department of France, the company originally began as an Angora goat farm producing mohair. Over the decades, it evolved into a fully integrated knitting workshop, eventually acquiring its local manufacturing partner in 2007 to preserve traditional expertise and local employment.

Today, Missègle is recognized as a 'Living Heritage Company' (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), a label awarded by the French state to firms with excellent artisanal and industrial know-how. Every product—ranging from socks and sweaters to thermal wear—is manufactured directly in their workshop in Burlats. The brand is strictly committed to sustainable production, utilizing natural fibers such as merino wool, mohair, yak down, and organic cotton, while sourcing most of its energy from on-site photovoltaic panels. It remains a family-owned business, now managed by the founder alongside her sons, Olivier and Gaëtan Billant.
