Nestlé La Laitière MaronSui's is a signature French dairy dessert featuring a light, whipped mousse made with 54% chestnut cream. The brand La Laitière was originally launched in 1973 by Chambourcy (a French company later acquired by Nestlé) and is iconic for using Johannes Vermeer's 1658 painting, The Milkmaid, in its branding to evoke a sense of tradition and authenticity.

Today, the product is manufactured in France, specifically at facilities in Vallet (Loire-Atlantique), using milk of French origin. While the brand carries the Nestlé name, the production and marketing of these chilled dairy products in Europe are managed by Lactalis Nestlé Produits Frais (LNPF). This entity is a prominent joint venture formed in 2006 between the Swiss food giant Nestlé and the French dairy leader Lactalis, with Lactalis holding the majority stake (60%).

Ownership of the brand resides within this partnership. Nestlé remains the ultimate trademark owner, while the French multinational Lactalis, headquartered in Laval, France, serves as the primary operational owner and manufacturer for the European market. Lactalis is a privately-held company owned by the Besnier family.
