Marlene RedPop is a premium apple variety known for its intense sweetness and vibrant red appearance, often marketed with the slogan "little big sweet." The variety, scientifically known as CIVM49, was originally bred in Italy by the Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti (CIV) through a cross between the Coop39 (Crimson Crisp) and Mitchgla varieties.

The brand is primarily managed by the VOG Consortium (Consortium of South Tyrolean Fruit Growers' Cooperatives), one of Europe's largest apple marketing organizations. These apples are grown in the South Tyrol (Südtirol) region of northern Italy, benefitting from the unique Alpine-Mediterranean climate. While the variety has been introduced to other international markets for cultivation (such as the USA and Chile), the Marlene brand specifically represents the high-quality harvest from the Italian Alps.
