Vinosìa Orus Primitivo is an Italian red wine produced by the Vinosìa winery, located in Paternopoli, within the Irpinia sub-region of Campania. Although the winery is based in Campania, this specific 'Orus' line is made from 100% Primitivo grapes grown in the Salento area of Puglia, a region renowned for this specific grape variety. The production process involves harvesting the grapes in mid-September, followed by maceration and aging for approximately six months in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh, fruity character of the wine.
The brand was established in 2004 by Luciano Ercolino, a member of the prominent winemaking family that founded the famous Feudi di San Gregorio estate. Vinosìa represents a modern project aimed at highlighting the unique terroirs of Southern Italy, specifically Campania and Puglia. The company remains an independent family-owned entity under the leadership of Luciano Ercolino, operating with a focus on sustainable practices and advanced energy-saving production technologies at its gravity-fed winery in Paternopoli.
