Sensodyne is a globally recognized brand specialized in oral care for sensitive teeth. The brand's journey began in 1961 when it was introduced by the Block Drug Company, a family-owned pharmaceutical business founded by Alexander Block in Brooklyn, New York. In 2000, the brand reached a major turning point when Block Drug was acquired by the British pharmaceutical giant SmithKline Beecham, which subsequently merged to form GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

In July 2022, GSK underwent a significant corporate restructuring, spinning off its consumer healthcare division into a new independent company called Haleon plc. Today, Haleon is the ultimate owner and operator of the Sensodyne brand. Headquartered in Weybridge, United Kingdom, Haleon is a world leader in consumer health, managing a portfolio that also includes Advil, Centrum, and Panadol.

Manufacturing of Sensodyne products occurs in several strategic locations worldwide to serve global markets. Key production facilities are located in Slovakia, the United States, Canada, and India. Recently, Haleon announced shifts in its European manufacturing footprint, moving more production to its state-of-the-art facility in Levice, Slovakia, as part of a strategy to optimize its global supply chain.
