Graasten salads and dressings

Graasten (Graasten Salater) is a legendary Danish food brand with a history dating back to 1947, when it was founded by Johannes Rasmussen in the town of Gråsten, Denmark. Originally starting as a small local production of traditional Danish spreads like mackerel and curry salad, the brand grew significantly over the decades to become a household name across Denmark, known for its high-quality dressings, remoulades, and salads.

Today, the brand remains deeply rooted in its original location, with its primary manufacturing facilities still situated in Gråsten, Southern Jutland. In 2025 and 2026, the company completed a major expansion project known as 'Graasten Go Green,' which modernized and increased its production capacity by over 8%. Although the brand was family-owned for many years, it is now part of the Stryhns Gruppen, a prominent Danish food group. Stryhns Gruppen is itself a subsidiary of the Norwegian food conglomerate Agra, which has owned the group since 2008. This makes the ultimate owner a family-controlled Norwegian company, though the products are still produced in Denmark following traditional recipes.
