Choc-Ola chocolate beverage

Choc-Ola is an iconic chocolate beverage with a rich history rooted in the American Midwest. Originally created in 1944 by Harry S. Porter in Indianapolis, Indiana, the drink became a nostalgic staple for generations. It was famously sold at the Rockola Cafe and was widely distributed across Indiana and neighboring states like Kentucky, Illinois, and Michigan.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership shifted through various entities, including a period under the Yoo-Hoo Chocolate Beverage Corp (later acquired by Dr Pepper Snapple Group / Keurig Dr Pepper). However, in 2010, the rights were acquired by Dan Rea, who revitalized the brand. In 2020, a significant expansion plan was launched through a partnership with beverage industry veteran Dave Hunter to reintroduce the drink in single-serve plastic bottles and expand its distribution nationwide. Today, it remains a beloved regional specialty, primarily produced and distributed within the United States.
