Grumme is an iconic Swedish brand with a heritage dating back to 1882 when Ferdinand Grumme founded the company in Stockholm. Originally famous for its 'Grönsåpa' (Green Pine Soap), which has been a staple in Swedish households for over 140 years, the brand is synonymous with natural, plant-based cleaning solutions and environmental consciousness.

Historically, the brand was part of the Swedish company Cederroth. In 2015, Cederroth was acquired by the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla. Following this acquisition, Grumme became part of the Orkla Home & Personal Care division. While the brand's heart and origin are Swedish, its manufacturing is now distributed across the Nordic region. Many liquid products and detergents are produced at Orkla's modern facilities in Ski, Norway, and Falun, Sweden, to serve the broader Scandinavian market.
