Staffelberg-Bräu is a traditional private brewery located in Loffeld, a district of Bad Staffelstein in Upper Franconia, Germany. Founded in 1856 by Jakob Geltner, the brewery has remained a family-owned business for over six generations. It is currently managed by the Geldner-Wehrfritz family.
The brewery is well-known for its regional Franconian beer specialties, which are brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 using water from their own mountain spring, local barley, and premium hops. Their distinct logo features a dwarf holding a beer mug, a nod to local legends about dwarves living on the nearby Staffelberg hill.
Manufacturing takes place exclusively at their site in Loffeld, Bad Staffelstein. The brand remains independent and is not part of any large beverage conglomerate, maintaining its status as a local 'Hausbrauerei' (house brewery) that also operates a traditional Franconian inn.
