Norma is a world-renowned brand specializing in high-precision firearm ammunition and reloading components. Originally founded in Norway in 1895 and officially established in Sweden in 1902, the brand has built a prestigious reputation over more than a century for its ballistic innovation and manufacturing quality.

The company was founded by the Enger brothers—Lars, Johan, and Ivar—who named the business after their favorite opera by Vincenzo Bellini. Throughout the 20th century, Norma evolved from a military supplier to a leading name in the global hunting and sport shooting markets, particularly noted for pioneering the boat-tail projectile design.

Today, Norma is part of the premium ammunition division of Beretta Holding, which acquired the brand in 2022 from RUAG Ammotec. While its heritage and primary manufacturing remain centered in Åmotfors, Sweden, the brand operates globally with production and distribution facilities across Europe and a significant manufacturing presence in Savannah, Georgia, USA, reflecting its status as a major player in the international firearms industry.
