Harry's is a consumer goods brand that gained fame by disrupting the shaving industry with high-quality, reasonably priced razors. A core component of their business is vertical integration; in 2014, the company purchased the historic Feintechnik razor blade factory in Eisfeld, Germany. This allows the brand to maintain direct control over the engineering and production of its signature steel blades.
While the razor blades are primarily manufactured in Germany, the production of other components is distributed globally. Specifically, the razor handles are manufactured in China, and many of their topical products, such as shaving gels, face washes, and hair care items, are formulated and produced in laboratories within the United States and the United Kingdom.
Originally founded as a direct-to-consumer startup in New York, the company evolved into Harry's Inc. and, as of 2025, rebranded its parent entity to Mammoth Brands to better reflect its growing portfolio of personal care lines. Despite an attempted acquisition by Edgewell Personal Care in 2019 that was blocked by regulators, the company has remained an independent entity and has explored public listing options for 2026.
