Annas Pepparkakor, known internationally as Anna's Swedish Thins, is an iconic Swedish brand famous for its thin and crispy gingerbread biscuits. The company's heritage dates back to 1929, when sisters Anna and Emma Karlsson opened a small home bakery in Stockholm. Their secret recipe, characterized by a delicate balance of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves, quickly became a staple of Swedish fika culture.
While the brand maintains its deep Swedish roots and continues to hold a Royal Warrant from the King of Sweden, the business was acquired in 2008 by the Belgian confectionery group Lotus Bakeries. Today, the majority of global production still takes place in Tyresö, Sweden, ensuring that the traditional craftsmanship remains authentic even as the brand has expanded its presence to over 20 countries worldwide.
