Pickerd is a traditional German brand renowned for its high-quality baking ingredients, icings, and decorative toppings. Founded in 1950 by Heinrich Pickerd in Hanover, the brand gained fame for its innovative household-sized icing packets, specifically the iconic 'Gugelhupf' shaped cake glaze packaging which became a registered utility model.

Today, the company operates out of its modern production and logistics facility in Burgwedel, Germany. While the brand has expanded its product line to include fruit pastes, nut products (following the acquisition of Rösch & Eggers), and various decorative sprinkles, it remains deeply rooted in German manufacturing traditions. After a period of diverse ownership, the company returned to its roots as a family-owned and operated business in 2021 when Managing Director Christoph Ludwig acquired 100% of the shares. This shift has reinforced its status as an independent medium-sized enterprise dedicated to premium baking solutions.
