Domaine Py Antoine wine

Domaine Py is a family-owned winery located in Douzens, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. The 'Antoine' cuvée is one of the estate's notable offerings, named after the son of the founder, Jean-Pierre Py. The estate is situated at the foot of the Alaric Mountain, benefiting from a unique terroir of clay-limestone soils and influences from both the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees.

Originally launched in 2003 by Jean-Pierre Py, a forward-thinking winemaker who chose to leave a local cooperative to establish his own independent domain, the winery has since become a benchmark for organic and biodynamic viticulture in the Corbières appellation. The entire 140-hectare vineyard was certified organic (AB) in 2011 and has more recently embraced biodynamic practices, earning Demeter certification in 2021. The wines are produced on-site, emphasizing a balance between tradition and modern precision winemaking.
