Thompson's Everyday tea is a signature blend from Thompson's Tea, a family-owned company deeply rooted in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Founded in 1896 by Robert S. Thompson, the brand has remained under the stewardship of the Thompson family for four generations. The company is perhaps most famous for its Punjana brand, which is a market leader in Northern Ireland and highly popular across Scotland and the wider UK.

While the tea leaves themselves are sourced from prestigious gardens in the Assam region of India and the slopes of Mount Kenya, the product is blended and packed in Belfast. The manufacturing process is still closely overseen by the family, with current directors Ross and David Thompson personally taste-testing every blend to maintain the high standards that have earned the brand numerous 'Great Taste' awards. As of 2026, Thompson's Tea remains one of the few large-scale independent tea blenders still operating in the United Kingdom, maintaining its independence from global beverage conglomerates.
