Clipper Organic Green Tea & Lime & Ginger

Clipper Teas is a prominent British brand known for its commitment to ethical and organic products. Founded in 1984 by Mike and Lorraine Brehme in a kitchen in Dorset, it became a pioneer in the Fairtrade movement, being one of the first UK companies to receive the Fairtrade Mark in 1994.

The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. In 2012, it was acquired by Royal Wessanen, a Dutch healthy food specialist that eventually rebranded as Ecotone in 2020. More recently, reports in late 2024 and 2025 indicate that the parent entity, Kallo Foods (part of Ecotone), remains under the ultimate ownership of a consortium led by PAI Partners.

While the raw ingredients like green tea leaves are sourced from Fairtrade estates in regions such as India and China, the final blending, processing, and packaging of the tea bags—including the unbleached and plastic-free varieties—take place at the company’s dedicated manufacturing facility in Beaminster, Dorset, UK. In markets like Spain and Germany, the products are often sold under the name 'Cupper Tea' due to trademark registrations.
