Under the leadership of founder David Shen, Synta has grown to become the world's largest manufacturer of telescopes, also producing equipment for other major brands like Celestron. The brand is managed through various regional hubs, such as Sky-Watcher USA and Sky-Watcher Canada (Pacific Telescopes), but ultimate control remains with Synta in Taiwan and its manufacturing arm in China.
