Ožujsko pivo

Ožujsko pivo, often affectionately called 'Žuja', is the most popular beer brand in Croatia. Its history dates back to 1892 when it was first produced by the Zagrebačka pivovara (Zagreb Brewery) in Zagreb. The name 'Ožujsko' is derived from the Croatian word for the month of March (ožujak), traditionally considered the best time to brew beer.

Today, the brand is produced by Zagrebačka pivovara, which is the largest brewery in Croatia and serves as the official sponsor of the Croatian national football team. Since 2012, the brewery and the brand have been part of the global Molson Coors Beverage Company, following its acquisition of the StarBev group. The beer continues to be manufactured primarily at the historic brewery site in Zagreb, Croatia, maintaining its status as a pride of Croatian industrial heritage.
