Voiello is a premium Italian pasta brand with deep historical roots in the Neapolitan tradition. Founded in 1879 by Giovanni Voiello in Torre Annunziata, a town renowned for its 'white art' of pasta making, the brand originally catered to the Neapolitan aristocracy. Voiello is distinguished by its use of 100% Italian durum wheat, specifically the high-protein 'Aureo' variety grown in regions like Abruzzo and Puglia, and its traditional bronze-die extrusion process which gives the pasta a rough surface ideal for holding sauces.

In 1973, following an economic crisis that affected many Italian producers, Voiello was acquired by the Barilla Group. This partnership allowed the brand to modernize and expand while maintaining its commitment to artisanal quality. Today, Voiello is positioned as Barilla's top-tier 'gourmet' brand, continuing to produce its iconic pasta primarily in the Marcianise plant in the province of Caserta, Italy. The brand remains a symbol of Southern Italian culinary heritage, blending traditional recipes with modern sustainable manufacturing practices.
