Rowse Honey is the United Kingdom's leading honey brand, with a history dating back to 1938 when Tony Rowse began beekeeping in Oxfordshire. Originally established as a small family business in the village of Ewelme, the company officially formed in 1954 and eventually moved its headquarters and processing facilities to Wallingford, Oxfordshire, where it remains centered today.

The product is packaged and processed in the UK, although the honey itself is often a blend of sources. While Rowse produces specific British honey varieties, its high-volume products (like the spreadable honey shown) typically utilize a blend of honeys sourced from multiple countries across Europe, South America, and Asia to ensure consistent supply and taste throughout the year.

Ownership of the brand transitioned from the Rowse family in 2006 when it was acquired by Wellness Foods. In 2014, the brand was acquired by the Valeo Foods Group, a major international food company headquartered in Ireland. As of 2026, Valeo Foods continues to own and manage Rowse, with the group itself being backed by the global investment firm Bain Capital.
