Unify is a prominent global brand in the unified communications and collaboration (UCC) sector. The brand's history is deeply rooted in German engineering, having originally emerged from the enterprise communications division of Siemens AG. In 2013, Siemens Enterprise Communications was rebranded as Unify to reflect its mission of integrating diverse communication channels into a single, cohesive user experience.

Over the years, the brand has undergone several significant changes in ownership. After being part of a joint venture between Siemens and The Gores Group, it was acquired by the French IT services giant Atos in 2016. Most recently, in October 2023, the brand was acquired by Mitel Networks Corporation, a Canadian telecommunications leader. This acquisition specifically integrated Unify's voice platforms and collaboration tools into Mitel's global portfolio, positioning the combined entity as one of the largest providers of business communication solutions in the world.

Manufacturing for Unify products, such as desk phones and networking hardware, takes place in multiple locations across the globe to serve a diverse international clientele. While much of the hardware design and high-level engineering historically happened in Germany, production is distributed across various contract manufacturing sites, often including facilities in Asia and Europe, to maintain a robust global supply chain.
