Visconti luxury pens

Visconti is a prestigious Italian brand renowned for its luxury writing instruments. Founded in 1988 by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, the company established its headquarters and workshop in a 15th-century villa, the Villa Il Chiuso, located just outside of Florence. This location remains at the heart of the brand's identity, with many of its products carrying the 'Made in Florence' label rather than a generic national one.

While the pens are primarily designed and hand-assembled in Italy by master craftsmen, the manufacturing process is global in nature. For instance, the high-quality nibs used in many Visconti pens have historically been produced in Germany to Visconti's strict proprietary specifications and unique designs (such as the crescent-shaped breather hole). Additionally, the brand is famous for using exotic and innovative materials sourced from specific regions, such as basaltic lava from Mount Etna in Sicily for the Homo Sapiens collection.
