Anthon Berg is a prestigious Danish chocolatier with a heritage dating back to 1884. Founded by the greengrocer Anthon Berg in Copenhagen, the brand initially gained fame for its high-quality marzipan, which was famously given away for free to customers waiting in line outside the shop. This tradition led to the brand's enduring motto: "You can never be too generous."

In 1954, the company was acquired by the Toms Group (Toms International), another prominent Danish confectionery manufacturer. Today, the majority of Anthon Berg's production takes place at the specialized Toms plant in Ballerup, Denmark, a facility famously designed by the renowned architect Arne Jacobsen. While most manufacturing remains centralized in Denmark to maintain quality standards, some operations and partnerships for global distribution may involve international logistics.

Anthon Berg is most celebrated for its patented chocolate coffee-liqueur and spirit-filled bottles, which were first introduced in 1922 and became a global trademark by 1972. The brand holds the prestigious title of "Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court," an honor bestowed upon it in 1957, reflecting its status as a symbol of Danish craftsmanship and luxury.
