Nacional is an iconic Portuguese brand with a legacy dating back to 1849, originally founded as a milling company. Today, it is part of the Cerealis Group, one of the leading agri-food companies in Portugal.

Historically belonging to the Amorim Lage family, the Cerealis Group (and thus the Nacional brand) was acquired in 2021 by two Portuguese investment firms: Teak Capital and Tangor Capital. These firms represent the interests of the Moreira da Silva and Silva Domingues families, respectively. The product shown, a 'Linha Zero' cereal bar with dark chocolate, is manufactured in Portugal, specifically within Cerealis' modern industrial centers such as the one in Trofa, which specializes in cereal processing.
