Drum is an iconic Dutch brand of fine-cut hand-rolling tobacco, originally introduced in 1952 by the Douwe Egberts corporation. It is widely recognized as the world's leading brand of shag tobacco. The 'Blond' or 'Ivoire' variety represents a lighter, smoother blend compared to the classic 'Halfzware' (half-dark) variety, often utilizing a mix of bright Virginia and light Burley tobaccos to cater to smokers preferring a less intense flavor profile.

While the brand has its roots in the Netherlands, its ownership has changed hands several times through major corporate acquisitions. Sara Lee Corporation acquired Douwe Egberts and subsequently sold the tobacco division to Imperial Brands (formerly Imperial Tobacco) in 1998. Today, Imperial Brands oversees the global production and distribution of Drum, excluding the United States where the rights are held by Republic Tobacco. Manufacturing occurs across Imperial Brands' global network of factories, which may include facilities in the Netherlands and other regional production hubs.
